Pathways Adult Education

PATHWAYS ADULT EDUCATION CLASSES

Pathways is the Adult Education ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton. In scripture we learn that the first Christians were called "people of the way."  The "way" is Jesus Christ.  He is a "lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path."  We look to Scripture to help us understand our relationship to Jesus and our world.  We are called to be a "light unto the world."

Pathways classes are offered on Sunday mornings from 9:55 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. beginning September 14, 2008.

Our current classes are listed on this page.  Some of our prior 2007-2008 Adult Education classes are available on recordings in our church library and also on our Adult Education Podcast plus as separate sessions in audio and/or video format that can be downloaded from our church website.  See our page on prior classes online for more information and to download classes.

Jesus Comes With Clouds Descending

Pastor Paul Location:  Ministry Center

For many people, the season of Advent is all about the arrival of the Christ child in Bethlehem long ago. Yet, throughout history, Advent has been something else as well. It is meant to draw our attention to the future, and to the promise that this same Jesus who was born in Bethlehem ages ago is coming again. What do Christians today believe about the "Second Coming of Jesus Christ?" How do these beliefs interface with modern life and politics? Join Dr. Paul Kirbas for this Advent journey as we consider the future along with the past. Is Jesus coming....again?
