His Wheels International -
May 4, 2008
|
Alice Teisen from His Wheels International spoke briefly about this
organization during our "Minute for Mission" at the 8:40 and 11:00 a.m.
worship services on Sunday, May 4, 2008. She also gave a presentation to our
Middle Schoolers during our education time that same morning.
Church members had been asked to bring old or outgrown bikes to church that morning
for donation to His Wheels International, and we collected 84 bikes! THANK
YOU to everyone who participated in this effort!
His Wheels is a bicycle service organization that assists Christian mission
organizations in providing bicycles and bicycle expertise in the U.S. and throughout
the world. Their website is at www.hiswheelsintl.org.
Anyone who has bikes to donate, space in DuPage County, Illinois, to store bikes,
or is able to help work on bikes on Friday mornings, is requested to call Alice Teisan
at 630-510-1005 or email her at info@hiswheelsintl.org for
further information.
Our Genesis middle schoolers volunteered to help with this ministry and spent
the morning of Friday, July 11, 2008, helping Alice Teisan and His Wheels International.

At the end of the afternoon 84 bicycles were delivered to Alice
Teison's backyard in two trips thanks to the efforts of the Kinsey family using their
van and jeep, Alice Lechiara using her truck, Charles Scouton and his trailer, and
Sam Hailman and his car.
