Reception for Caryle Aitken Wilkie
March 5, 2006

A reception was held in Stewart Hall following the 11:00 a.m. service on March 5, 2006, to welcome Reverend Caryle Aitken Wilkie, our new Interim Associate Pastor, and her husband, Peter.
Caryle Aitken Wilkie, her daughter, Meghan Wilkie, and Caryle's husband, Peter Wilkie, are welcomed to First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton.
The Associate Pastor Nominating Committee - from the left, they are Jay Albert, Nancy Gambaiani, Patti Buh, Chet Henry, Bob Young, and Margaret Schweer. They are introducing Caryle.
Bob Young introduces Caryle, Meghan, and Peter.
Jo Albert presented Caryle with a knitted prayer shawl which was created and blessed by the First Presbyterian Women's Prayer Shawl Ministry.
The Associate Pastor Nominating Committee presented Caryle with a Christian bracelet.  Pictured with Caryle are Patti Buh and Chet Henry.
Caryle shows the bracelet to Meghan and Peter.
The story about the bracelet: There is sin (black stone) in the world, and it has permeated our lives; but we are so grateful for Jesus Christ dying (red stone-blood) for our sins. He has made us pure (white stone) in his sight, free of sin. Because of this we want to have Christ (purple or blue) as the center of our lives. Then we can grow (green stone) in ways we can’t even imagine. We look forward to spending eternity with Him on the streets of gold (gold stone) in Heaven where we will come face to face with our Father God and will rest in His most Holy and Awesome presence (crystal stone).
Pastor Jerry Landrey and Peter Richey.
The Deacons, Session, and hospitality committee, along with ladies from various circles put the reception together.
