Red Carpet Rolled Out at Lincoln
Sites
With a full bus, a nice breakfast box, and yearning to learn
more about a favorite son of Illinois forty-five First Presbyterian
Church members and friends jaunted south across the Illinois
prairie to the state capitol of Springfield on Saturday, April
21, 2007, as part of the Red Carpet Fellowship Trips program. |

| The sun was just rising as we met in the parking lot of First
Presbyterian Church before 6:00 a.m., picked up our breakfasts,
and climbed aboard the bus. |
| Our first stop was the new Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library
and Museum. The group enjoyed the day there touring the
wonderful new museum highlighting the life of President Lincoln
and his family. If you have not been there, 45 Presbyterians
can’t be wrong; you should go! There are many things
to do and see there for all ages. Click on their website at www.alplm.org. |
